I had been Satellite TV only for 20 years. In November 2017 I set up a TiVo Bolt and two Minis on a Moca network. You are not confused, but stubbornly persist with an unsupported belief is the reason there is so much "confusion" out there. When someone holds a "belief" which is completely untested and then starts to make "authoritative" claims which contradict both other legitimate authorities and numerous antecdotal reports supporting these other authorities it is not only foolish but anti-scientific. There are even more reports of folks experiencing interference to legacy cable modems and tv boxes, which immediately disappear by placing additional MoCA filters on their coax input without demonstrating any negative effect on the MoCA network.Īll of this information is and has been readily available and is relatively easily tested for and demonstrated. Further, there are numerous anechdotal reports of marginal or intermittent MoCA connectivity that report success after the simple addition of a proper MoCA filter. Further, it is relatively easy to "see" the boost in MoCA signal strength so long as you have a MoCA devices which provides the connection statistics. This refective quality of MoCA filters has been not only noted and documented on almost every MoCA source documents since MoCA standards were first implemented.
